La Chiusa

La Chiusa
The island of Elba is the largest in the Tuscan archipelago and the Italy's third largest after Sicily and Sardinia.  La Chiusa traces its origins to the late 16th Century, when the cellars and the old hamlet were built, and Napoleon Bonaparte stayed at the estate on two occasions. Overlooking the gulf of Portoferraio, La Chiusa takes its name from the walls which enclose its twenty hectares of land, mostly vineyards and olive groves. Father & son team Fabio and Enrico Coser of Ronco dei Tassi in Friuli (also a Vino Italiano selection) oversee the winemaking.
