Fiorini

Fiorini
From Neil Empson (Toscolo, Monte Antico, Bollini) comes this new Chianti Superiore. To qualify for Superiore, the grapes - of which a minimum must be 70% Sangiovese - must come from the Chianti DOCG, including any of its seven sub zones (Aretini, Fiorentini, Pisane, Senesi, Montalbano, Montespertoli, Rufina), have a minimum alcohol level of 12% and be aged for at least nine months. Now that we’ve got the technical  info out of the way, Fiorini is simply great value and delicious drinking, with classic ripe red cherry fruit and violet notes, the palate medium bodied, as Chianti should be, with a freshness that makes it a great partner for just about anything at the table.
