Montepulciano

Widely planted in central Italy and southern Italy and often confused with the Tuscan town of the same name. Originally from Abruzzo, produces deep purple coloured wines with perfumed plummy fruit and soft tannins. It is the main grape in Rosso Conero from the Marches and popular for fruity rosato wines.
