Kerner is an aromatic variety that is cross between Riesling and Trollinger (a red variety also known as Schiava or Vernatsch). Originally from Germany and introduced to Alto Adige in the 1970's, Kerner is similar to Riesling (fresh, racy and fruity) with considerable body.
