Documented as far back as the 1800's, Roncaglia is one of Barbaresco's
finest crus and the vineyards span the hillside in an amphitheatre-like shape,
capturing generous light and sunshine.
Aged in nuetral oak casks for one
year, this is fruity with notes of blackberry, wild rose and violet.
The palate is long and velvety with round tannins and great ageing

Poderi Colla's 2013 Barbaresco Roncaglie is striking. Rich, deep and
beautifully layered, the 2013 possesses striking depth and nuance throughout.
This is one of the more powerful, structured 2013 Barbarescos readers will come
across, so patience is key. Sweet tobacco, exotic spices, dried flowers and
menthol give the wine an attractive upper register, but there is no shortage of
structure or depth. The 2013 should be terrific with another few years in
bottle. 93+ points, Antonio Galloni
